My Camera

I use a Konica/Minolta Z5 which is quite old now. The main highlights are:

• It has a digital view finder which is great because I can't see the little screen on the back without my reading glasses on and then I can't see anything a bit further away.
• It has an "anti-shake" mechanism which is great for shakey hands but, sadly, not for shakey flowers!
• It has 12 x optical zoom. Not too remarkable these days but when I bought it it was.
• It has two macro modes:
  • Standard macro in which you can focus items which are between 100mm and 2.5m depending on the zoom position.
  • Super macro in which you can focus items which are between 10mm and 1m. ...yes 10mm! I often find that I bump the lens into the flowers when I use Super macro.
• It has a 5 MegaPixel sensor and produces photos of 2560 x 1920 pixels. The website is designed to try to fit the photos to the size of your browser window.
